As the Clients Director within WSP's Transport & Infrastructure business unit, you will be responsible for driving the growth and development of our client base within the engineering industry. You will play a vital role in establishing and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients while actively pursuing new business opportunities. You would be the liaison between the senior leadership of our business and our clients.

Your new role, what's involved?

* Develop and execute the company's client acquisition and retention strategy to achieve revenue and growth targets across the Middle East region.

* Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the engineering industry, targeting both private and public sector clients.

* Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, understanding their needs and ensuring customer satisfaction.

* Conduct regular client meetings, presentations, and negotiations to establish new contracts and secure business partnerships.

* Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop compelling proposals, presentations, and marketing materials for clients.

* Build an effective network of key team members in T&I to drive the business in all business development, bidding, and project delivery activities in line with the strategy.

* Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify potential risks and opportunities.

* Monitor client satisfaction and proactively address any issues or concerns to maintain long-term relationships.

* Work closely with internal departments, including engineering, project management, and finance, to ensure seamless service delivery and client support.

* Assist and develop the regional and global profile of the ME T&I business.

* Develop and execute a forward-looking transformative strategy ensures our business stays ahead of the commodified services curve, ensuring that we remain a high value expertise driven service.

* Will have oversight of all bidding activity within T&I to ensure quality and to maximize cross selling opportunities, both regionally and globally.

* Will be a key client relationship holder throughout project delivery to assist in diffusing any issues before they become critical, defending the interest of WSP, while remaining focused on the success of the project.

* Provide regular reports and updates to the executive team on client activities, market trends, and sales performance.

* Support and facilitate a WSP culture of customer service to internal and external stakeholders.

* Participate in industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to enhance the company's visibility and expand professional networks.

* Role would be reporting into the Managing Director for Transport & Infrastructure


Requirements

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

* Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field. An advanced degree is preferred.

* More than 15 years of technical experience.

* Proven experience in a client-facing role, preferably in the engineering or construction industry for transportation & infrastructure projects.

* Strong knowledge of engineering products, services, and solutions.

* Demonstrated success in driving business growth and achieving revenue targets.

* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively.

* Strategic thinking and the ability to develop and implement innovative client acquisition and retention strategies.

* Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously.

* Experience with the commercial management of a business unit.

* Middle East experience is highly desired.

* Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools to track and manage client interactions.

* A self-motivated and results-oriented mindset, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Willingness to travel across the Middle East region as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
