Job Description

Are you a proactive HR professional passionate about supporting teams and enabling organizational excellence? Do you have a passion for supporting humanitarian programming? We have an exciting opportunity that has arisen for a Regional Human Resources Officer to join our lively and dynamic Eurasia & North Africa team.

As our Regional HR Officer, you will contribute to, and promote effective people management and recruitment through support, facilitation, training and advice; encouraging each staff member to attain professional excellence to deliver Tearfund's vision. The HRO will support the Regional HR Business Partner in providing pro-active, quality HR service to the ENA country teams within Tearfund. In particular, to provide support to the Regional HR Business Partner both in terms of HR administration, recruitment, training and assistance in delegated tasks and project work.

The post holder also ensures that all HR policies and procedures are communicated, implemented and monitored, and compliant with external and internal requirements, and that Christian values are maintained. The post holder provides advice and support to staff in the regional and country offices to ensure Tearfund's employment practices are effective, fair and transparent and promote equal opportunities.

The position contributes to the overall operational and strategic direction of the HR department in the region and ensures HR policies, procedures, guidelines and requirements are adhered to.

We are looking for candidates with:

  • University degree in HR or similar level of knowledge
  • A minimum of 3 years of Human resources experience (or similar) work experience required, preferably in the international development/ humanitarian sector
  • Experience and proven ability to develop and manage a range of administrative processes
  • Experience of working and managing high volume administrative tasks, maintaining accurate data/files in a fast paced environment.
  • Experience working with various HR Information Systems (HRIS) and databases.
  • Hands-on experience in monthly payroll administration
  • Team working
  • The successful candidate must have:

  • Fluent in both English and Arabic (written and spoken).
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and ability to learn and adapt quickly to new tools.
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and work under pressure in a changing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills—able to interact confidently and sensitively across all levels.
  • High level of discretion, confidentiality, active listening, and empathy.
  • Self-aware, open to learning, and able to manage small projects.
  • Proficient IT skills.
