Request for Proposals for Conflict Sensitivity Evaluation Consultancy Services

REF: PD26.OPT.001 MAG’s vision is a safe and secure future for men, women and children affected by armed violence and conflict. Since 1989, MAG has helped over 20 million people in 70 countries rebuild their lives and livelihoods after war by: –Reclaiming land contaminated with the remnants of conflict, such as landmines, cluster munitions, bombs, shells and mortars. –Finding ways to reduce the daily risk of death or injury for civilians; and –Creating safe and secure conditions for development. MAG shares the 1997 Nobel Peace Prize as a founding member of the International Campaign to Ban Landmines. MAG invites qualified consultancy firms or individual consultants to submit proposals for the provision of an Evaluation of Conflict Sensitivity in MAG’s Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE) Programmes in the occupied Palestinian territory (oPt), as set out in the attached Terms of Reference and Tender Criteria Document. MAG has been delivering EORE activities in Gaza, designed to be context-appropriate and conflict-sensitive, including community-level acceptance work, integration of MHPSS, and adapted programming under highly constrained access conditions. MAG has also initiated EORE sessions in Nablus, West Bank. This assignment will evaluate the conflict sensitivity of this programming and generate practical tools and learning for MAG and the wider Mine Action sector in oPt. Key parameters of this assignment: –Duration: MAG intends to award a fixed-term consultancy contract for an initial period of three months, commencing upon signature by both parties. At MAG's sole discretion, the contract may be extended to include the preparation and facilitation of a dissemination workshop in Amman. (3 phases: Inception; Data Collection & Tool Development; Analysis & Reporting). –Reporting line: Emergency Response Manager (ERM), MAG oPt.
