Position: Communications & Compliance Volunteer

Organization: ActionAid Jordan

Location: Amman, Jordan (with mandatory field travel outside Amman)

Duration: (June 1, 2026 – June 30, 2026)

Reporting to: Women Empowerment & Protection Program Manager

1. Scope of Work & Responsibilities

The Creative Communications & Compliance Volunteer will support the ActionAid team during the final phase of project implementation. The primary focus of this consultancy-style volunteer role is to ensure high-standard documentation of project milestones and rigorous adherence to donor visibility mandates.

A. Creative Content Capture & Visual Documentation

• Professional Documentation: Attend project activities and field events to capture creatively composed photography and videography that reflects project impact.
• Strategic Storytelling: Utilize advanced technical skills (composition, lighting, and perspective) to move beyond standard recording, focusing on the human dignity and lived realities of project participants.
• Digital Optimization: Capture high-quality vertical and horizontal visual assets optimized for professional video reels, social media platforms, and formal publications.

B. Partner Coordination & Branding Compliance

• Visibility Oversight: Conduct systematic follow-ups with project partners to ensure all social media outputs and physical materials strictly adhere to donor branding guidelines (correct logo usage, funding disclaimers, and mandatory tagging).
• Quality Assurance: Review and verify partner-generated communication materials to ensure alignment with ActionAid’s corporate identity and project-specific messaging.

C. Information Management & Archiving

• Data Integrity: Maintain and update internal communication trackers, ensuring every visual asset is accurately logged and supported by a signed Informed Consent Form.
• Systematic Archiving: Organize all final communication assets into a structured digital repository to ensure project records are audit-ready and accessible for terminal reporting.

2. Qualifications & Requirements

• Academic Background: Fresh Graduate with a degree in Communications, Media Studies, Marketing, Fine Arts, or a related field.
• Professional Experience: Previous volunteering or internship experience within the humanitarian or development sector (INGOs/CBOs) is highly desirable.
• Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in creative photography and videography with the ability to produce visually compelling content under field conditions.
• Core Competencies:
- Exemplary attention to detail and concentration regarding branding compliance. - Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple coordination tasks simultaneously.
• Language: Fluency in Arabic (mandatory) and professional proficiency in English.
• Mobility: Full readiness to conduct field missions outside of Amman as dictated by the project calendar.
