Location: Amman, Jordan
Organization Background:
Collateral Repair Project (CRP) is a grassroots effort in Amman, Jordan that has provided much-needed assistance to vulnerable communities since 2006. We seek to assist those in need, foster social cohesion, offer learning opportunities, and build peace and reconciliation. Our services are provided regardless of background, and we currently provide assistance to people from many nationalities (e.g. Syria, Iraq, Jordan, Sudan, Yemen, Somalia).
CRP’s holistic approach involves deep community engagement, where we help individuals build resilience and heal from trauma. At our vibrant Family Resource and Community Centers, CRP provides a variety of educational, recreational, and wellness activities, which aids our community to gain skills and build community. Additionally, we provide community service and leadership opportunities for people to serve others, which has proven to be a key driver of empowerment and resilience. Position Description:
This role is for someone who loves building relationships and takes initiative to stay meaningfully connected with donors over time by ensuring they feel valued and engaged in CRP’s work.
The Donor Development Specialist manages and grows a portfolio of CRP’s individual donors, with a focus on mid-level and monthly donors. This position contributes directly to CRP’s fundraising through relationship building and requesting donor gifts in a friendly and respectful way.
This is a highly relational, outward-facing role. The Donor Development Specialist is responsible for consistent, thoughtful outreach and follow up, and for ensuring that every donor interaction is intentional, timely, and aligned with CRP’s voice and values.
This role works in close partnership with the President & CEO and supports the ongoing development of individual donors by maintaining regular communication, identifying opportunities for deeper engagement, and helping move donors along their giving journey.
The Donor Development Specialist owns day-to-day engagement with their portfolio and ensures that relationships are actively managed, tracked, and advanced. This includes maintaining clear records in the CRM, identifying next steps for each donor, and ensuring that no meaningful opportunity for connection or increased giving is missed.
This position reports directly to the President & CEO and is responsible for key activities including, but not limited to
Donor Relationship Management
● Build and maintain relationships with mid-level and monthly donors through consistent, personalized outreach (email, WhatsApp, calls, and occasional in-person engagement)
● Maintain regular contact with donors, ensuring communication is timely, relevant, and personal
● Develop a clear understanding of each donor’s interests, engagement history, and potential for deeper involvement
Fundraising and Donor Growth
● Identify and act on opportunities to deepen engagement, including asking donors for donations and encouraging increased giving when appropriate
● Reconnect with donors who may have stopped giving and support their re-engagement
● Support peer-to-peer fundraising by helping individuals raise funds for CRP and guiding them on how to reach out to their networks Donor Pipeline Support
● Support the progression of donors across giving levels through consistent relationship building and engagement
● Flag high-potential donors for further development in collaboration with the President & CEO Communications & Stewardship
● Tailor donor outreach for different segments, ensuring communication is clear, grounded, and donor-centered
● Ensure donors feel informed, appreciated, and connected to the impact of their support
CRM Management & Tracking
● Maintain accurate, up-to-date donor records in CRP’s CRM (Bloomerang), including notes, next steps, and segmentation
● Use basic reporting and segmentation to prioritize outreach and identify at-risk or disengaging donors.
Collaboration
● Coordinate with team members to ensure alignment between donor communications, program updates, and outreach efforts
● Support donor engagement during key fundraising campaigns through targeted follow up and relationship management.

Prior fundraising experience is an asset, but not required. Candidates with strong interpersonal and communication skills from other fields are encouraged to apply.
Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
● 1–4 years of experience in a relationship-based, client-facing, or communications role (e.g. customer relations, hospitality, sales, partnerships, community engagement)
● Strong written and verbal communication skills ● Demonstrated ability to stay organized and manage ongoing responsibilities
● Experience with a CRM or database system is helpful but not required
● Fluent English and very strong Arabic skills What Success Looks Like

Compensation
Salary range is JD 700-950/month, based on experience, before deductions for tax and social security.
